Tesamorelin half-life & how long it lasts
Tesamorelin has a half-life of about 30 minutes, reaches peak concentration around 15 minutes after a dose, and is practically cleared from the body about 3 hours after the last dose. Cleared within hours. Like the other GH secretagogues, the drug is gone long before its downstream effect is.

What that means day to day
- Levels are never zero between doses. On a once daily schedule with a 30 minutes half-life, each dose stacks on what is left of the last one until steady state.
- Peak is not injection day. Concentration keeps climbing for about 15 minutes after the shot, so effects and side effects lag the dose.
- Stopping is gradual. After the last dose it takes about 3 hours for the compound to be practically gone.
